I made this cute card for Marlene's Birthday Challenge at Squigglefly #SFC124 this week. I used 2 separate digi images. The first being Birthday Cupcake and the second Birthday Medley. I love how these images can be so easily cropped and adjusted to different needs. The papers were by The Paper Studio "Birthday extravaganza" and they have lots of bling. It was easy to match up my Copics to match these great colors. After coloring I highlighted the digi image with my glitter pen to add some "glitz" to the image and pull it all together with the glitter paper.
On the inside of the card I cropped the candle image from the cupcake image and added some text in MS word to finish of this fun card.
Wishing you much scrappiness and a very Happy Thanksgiving.
I've been a crafter since I was a kid, and I still enjoy how creating feeds my soul. For more than 10 years I was a designer, painter, and owner of a small corporation providing hand-painted, hand-crafted items to clients. I sold my wares at Country Sampler Stores, Ben Franklin, Jewel Osco, and Ace Hardware as well as a couple of other craftmarket stores and large craft shows in the northern Illinois area. Since then I have transitioned to papercrafts and thoroughly enjoy the ease of creativity and how the industry has exploded with so many offerings. I also did contract work for several years at the Chicago Merchandise Mart doing showroom design and sales for a California Import company. As you can see, design has always been a big part of my life.
I'm currently a self-employed medical transcriptionist, and I love my job, but in my free time I love to spend time in my studio creating.
I hope I can inspire you to create something special too.
